On the 19th, the official website of the Italian Federation of Business Tourism and Service Industry announced that Italy has recently launched a reform to standardize the qualifications of tour guides and vigorously crack down on unlicensed "black tour guides".

Due to its world-renowned history and scenery, Italy has attracted a large number of tourists from all over the world, but it has also led to a mixed bag of good and bad in the tour guide industry, resulting in frequent chaos in the tourism industry. In order to crack down on these "black tour guides", the Italian Ministry of Tourism has issued a bulletin on the reform of the tour guide industry standards. The first aspect of the reform is to increase the difficulty of the qualification examination, and those who pass the assessment will be included in the official list and awarded qualification certificates. The new regulations stipulate that practitioners must display their qualifications and the details and prices of public services to tourists, and violators will face a fine of up to 1500 euros (approximately RMB 11800). In addition, unqualified individuals who impersonate regular tour guides and travel agencies who hire unqualified personnel will be severely punished.

The Italian Minister of Tourism stated that this new regulation can combat the malicious behavior that tarnishes the reputation of the Italian tourism industry. After strict management, the Italian tourism industry will usher in a new era. (Liang Youzhi)
